I considered for some time how I would respond to the bill that would make the Bible the state book. After much thought and prayer, I came to the conclusion that I could not support this bill, SB 1108/HB 615. I want to share with you all the thoughts and passages that led me to this decision and the decision to speak against the bill on the Senate Floor.
